She drew this awesome lion-beast and I fell in love with it. As she devoted it to me, I asked her to use it as a animal in my novel-projekt Athanasia.
When she said yes, I was awfully happy!

I made this sheet for the Athanasia-Homepage I'm working on atm, so the background colors and stuff will match the layout of the page.
The infos about the Duskhunter are written in german, but here's my crappy translation:

Duskhunter
Duskhunters can be found in the deserts and mountains of the lands Aynatus, Khinal and Ravtyne. The ones on the Zwillingsinsel (Twinisland) are a little smaller than their relatives on the mainland.

Duskhunters prefer areas that are tough on other hunters. They live mostly in the heart of the desert where they feed on Deserthorses - but also on fruit that grow in the rainy season.

Because of their ability to use their thumb on their forepaw they are excellent climbers. So duskhunters can be found in the high mountainareas of the zwillingsinsel. (twinisland)




MIDDLE
Duskhunters are loner.
Females protect their district, which size can vary between 20 and 25km², against other females, while the males wander around.

For pairing both sides come together. The male duskhunter seeks a receptive female and stays with her until the cubs are about 6 months old.
The female gives birth to about 1-3 cubs per litter after 100-115 days. In rare cases, the litter can consist of up to 5 cubs.

The cubs stay with their mother until they reach sexual maturity with about 1,5 years. The females start to define their own distric while the males start to wander.

Duskhunters can reach an age between 30 and 35 years.

It is said that duskhunters are quite intelligent beings. Some of them seem to show a certain kind of character while in captivity. They also can show some kind of symphathie for their foster parents.

Their furcolor varies from sandy to light brown.
Male duskhunters cary a red mane across they backs which is mostly lighter at females.
The taitassel aslo catches the eye: It's all black and very big in males.
