My Influence Map.
I tried to capture everything on it that had any influence on my while I was/am working on the concept of my novel "Athanasia". It has changed a lot in the last years and I'm probably never gonna finish it.
Either way, here:
1. Daniel Abraham - His work on "The Long Price Quartet" really amased me. His asian-influenced society and his concepts had a huge influence on my view on my own world.
2. Juuni Kokki - A Anime I watched a lot a few years back. Based on a book that really got me. The way of plotting was really interessting!
3. James Clemens - The one author that I really adore. Any work and any interview by him encourages me! Master!
4. Christian Mythology - Mostly angels and the fall of luficer.
5. Mad Men - Awesome characters and -development.
6. Supernatural - Christian Mythology again, very interessting attemp at working on it. Love Castiel & Dean.
7. Godslayer-Chronicles - James Clemens again. The concept of the Gods, similiar to the godconcept of the nardic mythology, is really good.
8. Kate x Sawyer - Love-triangle, lust, disappointment ... Made LOST a lot more interessting for me.
9. The Dark Tower - THE ONE for me. Must-read.
10. Nordic Mythology - The concept of Gods and Ragnarök really got me.
11. Buddhism - Immortality hasn't to be physical.
12. Ensemble, c'est tout - Novel by Ana Gavalda. Really good writing in this one novel. Really emotional.
13. Lord of the dance - When I was a kid, I used to write to the music of "Lord of the dance". And even today, it set's me into the writing-mood.
14. the banned and the banshied - by James Clemens. One of my first (written) loves.
15. Aristoteles - Great philosopher and dramaturgist.
16. Watchmen - Loved the theme and setting a lot.
17. The last Unicorn - Again, somewhat Immortality and Love as themes.
18. Die Herrin der Lüge (The Lady of the Lie) - Novel by Kai Meyer. Enjoyed the use of the Lügengeist ("Spirit of Lies").
19. Emilie Autumn - "By the sword" really inspiries my anytime.
20. Was nützt die Liebe in gedanken? (What's the use of love in thoughts?) - Novel by Arno Meyer zu Küingdorf. Without love, your life is empty. Why life a empty life?
21. My chemical Romance's "Three cheers for my sweet revange" - Influted, like, my hole teens. I love the theme of suicidal love ... ♥
